P R E S I D E N T'S   D A Y

1) President's day is celebrated in honor of our first president, George Washington. 

2) This holiday is celebrated on the 19th of February.

3) Some ways you could show honor or respect on that day is maybe honor presidents, write a letter to a president, or throw a party in honor.

4) I can show respect by honoring the presidents who have driven our country to greatness.

                                                       

V A L E N T I N E ' S     D A Y

Valentine's Day is an annual holiday that is celebrated on the 14th of February. What is celebrated on this holiday is well, love. When lovers or loved ones appreciate one another through gifts and spending time together. No one is really actually sure on the original history of Valentine's day but, I found a story that claims to be the history of that holiday. So Valentine's Day is also called St. Valentine's Day,  after either this man was a priest in Rome or a bishop in Terri. Anyways, Saint Valentine risked the emperors wrath by standing up for traditional marriages. For such an action the emperor decided to consider him to death, as he was then beheaded. He stood for the right of love which is why he was honored for this holiday. Once again, i honestly do not know if this is the original background story but valentine's day is pretty great.
